4th Straight IRB Racing State Title!

Our final carnival for the season and what a day it was. With the sun shinning and waves nonexistent, once again the blue and yellow shone brightly in and out of the water with some outstanding individual and team results!

26.10.2020 Surf Sports

Of the nine events on the day, Mullaloo placed first, taking out the gold for eight of those events. Special congratulations goes out to Team D who went into the Male Tube Rescue as the underdogs and came out with the gold, well done Lachlan Halvorson up and coming driver, Max Smith as swimmer and first year IRB rookie and Corey Bartle as seasoned patient. Josh Bull and Robbie Payne managed to retain their state titles for another year running taking out the Male Single Rescue and Male Mass Rescue. We again extend out deepest thank you to our officials and supporters who allow us so freely to do what we do on and off the beach. We would not be able to function nor compete in the same way we do without each and every helping hand, so thank you, your generous support is extremely appreciated by all. Indebted thanks goes out to super manager Laurie de Mamiel and Carlo Tenaglia who week in week out tirelessly chase us competitors up and down the beach, sorry we are sending you both grey!

Furthermore, I wish to take this opportunity on behalf of every Mullaloo competitor to acknowledge our leader Cam. A team of our size does not achieve such incredible accomplishments without a great leader. Your sheer dedication and passion for the sport of IRB racing does not go unnoticed and I know I speak for all when I say we are beyond grateful for all you do for our team! Cheers to you Cam!

With the boats deflated and motors in their pyjamas for the summer, the team will now turn their focus to pre-season fitness in order to come back stronger than ever for next year!

If you think IRB racing might be the surf discipline for you, please do not hesitate to contact myself, Cam or Josh with any questions about jumping on board!

Go Mullaloo!
