Club spirit and mutual support...

09.03.2023 News

Hi Everyone

I hope all is well.

State Championships

A huge congratulations to our Beach and Masters competitors who competed in their respective SunSmart WA Championships last weekend.

Mullaloo is positioned very well points wise leading into the remaining Surf Championships in the coming weeks.

It was great to see so many Mullaloo competitors across both events, many bringing home some bling, many bringing home some points and all seemingly having a great deal of fun.

Lots of Club spirit and mutual support was abound. Well done and thanks to all of you who competed, officiated, AGM’s, Coordinators, provided water safety etc, under the Mullaloo SLSC banner.

This week brings the SunSmart WA Surf Life Saving Championships – Youth/Open (Surf and Surfboats).

The following week it’s the equivalent for the Nippers.

Air-con in the Club lounge

Any of you down at the club early morning a week or so ago, may have seen a crane cantilevering Air-Con units over and onto the Clubroom roof.

New Air-Con is now installed in the Club lounge, so all is good in the world again.

A focus on Education

As per last week, in coming editions of eNews we will run a series of articles on education awards, as well as the processes involved, so you are informed and, we hope, consider pursuing something that suits you and your family. This week we have a focus on a cluster under Power craft Pathway.

Inflatable Rescue Boat Driver. Course content includes similar content to the IRBC – from the Driver’s perspective; risk assessment and emergency procedures. Candidates must be 17 years old on the day of assessment AND hold a current Bronze Medallion and IRB Crewperson award.

Candidates must be 18 years old on the day of final assessment And hold the following current awards: Advanced Resuscitation Techniques, Bronze Medallion, First Aid, Silver Medallion – Patrol Captain, applicable marine license (Recreational Skipper’s Ticket).

Have a great week
